Kay Leitch, author of Treasure This, has written features, travel and interviews for various magazines. She was production editor at Cosmopolitan Magazine and The Sunday Times Magazine for years, before leaving London for a quiet life (that’ll be the day) and taking an MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University. She has read for a children’s publisher and runs her own manuscript assessment and editing company (http://klediting.co.uk). She now spends her time writing and editing and chasing dogs across the park, wondering what happened to the quiet life she ordered. She thinks writing books is great fun, even though it can also leave you biting the carpet. And don’t even get her started on formatting.

She has been a nurse, midwife, hospital manager and management consultant. She thinks that bringing babies and books into the world are quite similar. Izzy Bean I have worked as a freelance illustrator for several years after getting a BA degree in Illustration and animation. My inspiration comes from artists such as Jim Lee, Ed Benes, Jamie Hewlett and more – my art is my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I am not drawing, I enjoy live music, visiting far away countries and writing stories.

Petherick Button. Illustrator of St Viper’s School for Super Villains (Book 1). I have worked as a cartoonist on a comic strip called Jessy the Jester for the Sunday Times. I enjoy reading cartoons as much as drawing them. I grew up with the Beano, Dandy, Marvel, DC, Disney and Ghibli and my art style is a blend of these, like a cross between Superman and Calvin and Hobbes. Cartoons will continue to delight me, my own creations and those created by others.
